DoR2 have released the DVDR of A Very Short Life, also known as “Duen chaam dik sung ming”. Considering its a DVDR with a size of 4.27GB, quality is no real question. It is superb judging from the sample. I have also included subtitles for your convenience.

Synopsis: Category-III criminal drama A Very Short Life tackles the subject of domestic violence, particularly child abuse and sexual molestation which are commonly found in Hong Kong’s newspaper headlines but rarely represented on the cinema screen. The controversial film, written and directed by Dennis Law (Fatal Move), draws from true events to tell a poignant tale of how violence begets more violence at home. Former child actress Leila Tong sheds her girl-next-door image to play a mom-next-door who mercilessly beat her own child to death, opposite star actress Maggie Shiu’s policewoman who abuses her authority to give vent to her pent-up frustration towards an unjust society
